Send E-Letters to Governor Hochul Urging Her to Support Funding of Mental Health Housing Programs in the 2026-2027 State Budget!

Hello - Please take a moment to send an E-letter directly to Governor Hochul, urging her to include a 2.7% Targeted Inflationary Increase (TII) in this year's Executive Budget. With looming federal cuts and rising costs, housing providers cannot maintain stable services without funding that keeps pace with inflation at a minimum. Anything less than a 2.7% TII is a cut -- one that will undermine the ability of programs to meet the needs of New Yorkers living with serious mental illness.

We are deeply grateful for the Governor's prior investments, but this year it is critical to safeguard the system against further erosion. The people served in these programs depend on safe, supportive housing -- and we must ensure providers have the resources to keep those doors open.

Sending a letter is so easy to do! Just enter your street address, zip code, and full name below and a digital copy of an E-letter will be generated addressed from you to the Governor. You can then either choose to e-mail it to her OR print and mail a hard copy.

We have created this letter because in the coming months, the Governor and her team will be forming the Executive State Budget for 2026/2027. Once the Governor's Budget is released in January, it will be very difficult to get additional funding added above the amount that she proposes. That's why it is imperative that we make it clear to the Governor that she needs to include substantial resources in her executive budget proposal NOW.

Our goal is to send at least 25,000 letters to the Governor before she finalizes her budget in mid-December.

We encourage you to send the E-letter again, and again and please forward this link to anyone who would also be willing to send it! To learn more about Bring It Home, visit our website bringithomenys.org and follow us on FacebookX (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and Threads!
