Calling only takes a minute or two, and phone calls are one of the most effective ways to get a congressional office's attention. Here's how:

Call the office (Rep. Aderholt / Sen. Britt / Sen. Tuberville -- numbers above).

Tell them you're a constituent (use your home address/zip if asked).

Say why you're calling: "Hi, my name is ___ and I'm a constituent from [city], Alabama. I'm calling to ask [Representative Aderholt / Senator Britt / Senator Tuberville] to contact DHS Secretary Mullin on behalf of Elder Chavez-Carranza, an 18-year-old Albertville student who's been in ICE detention for over 218 days despite holding protected Special Immigrant Juvenile status. He's not a threat to anyone, and I'm asking that ICE use its discretion to release him back to his family and school while his case moves through the courts."
