Ongoing Government Shutdown

On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, the U.S. government shut down. This has already caused significant disruptions for federal employees, researchers, and the broader public health system, and these impacts will only worsen the longer the government is shut down. Congress must now work together to fund the government using a short-term Continuing Resolution (CR).

 

Tell Congress it is important to end this shutdown so that scientific progress can continue. Reach out to Congress today and make sure they understand the human costs of a shutdown!
