Help Families Build Savings & Economic Security         Support the Helping More Families Save Act

Support the Helping More Families Save Act to expand access to HUD's Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) program. This bipartisan legislation led by Sen. Jack Reed, D. R.I., and Sen. Katie Britt, R. Ala. would test an innovative "opt-out" approach that helps families in HUD-assisted housing build savings and increase their income. When the program is run well, Compass Working Capital has observed the average FSS graduate builds over $8,500 in savings and increases their annual income by $21,500 - but today, less than 3% of eligible families participate. Let's remove barriers and create more pathways to economic mobility for families.
