Tell Congress: Support Patients and Providers by Reforming Medicare Physician Reimbursement
On July 10th, CMS proposed a damaging 2.8% cut to Medicare physician reimbursement for CY 2025.
For two decades, physicians have faced unsustainable reimbursement cuts, which are only exacerbated by rising medical practice expenses. In fact, since 2001, when adjusted for inflation, physician reimbursement has effectively declined 26%.
Members of the GI community, take a few minutes to tell your House Representative and Senator to not only avert the latest round of unacceptable cuts, but to support system reforms that would tie annual physician reimbursement updates to the Medicare Economic Index - our best measure of practice cost inflation.
