Head Start is about to change, and not for the better. The federal government has proposed new rules that would cut requirements for health screenings, mental health support, safety, and how many teachers have to be in a classroom with your child. Families without stable housing would face new paperwork just to enroll. The rule also requires English-only instruction in the classroom.
