Tips to writing a good email:
  • Pick one topic to write about per email.
  • Share a personal story or example of how this issue/topic affects you or someone you know.
  • Express gratitude to your legislator.

Example phone call script:

"Hello, my name is [name], and I am the senator's/representative's constituent in [city]. I am concerned about [name issue] and would like to see my representatives support/oppose [name specific legislation, like HB ### or short explanation if you don't know of a specific bill].
