Stop Blocking Medicaid from Rural Tennessee

Of Tennessee's estimated 660,000 uninsured people - 220,000 adults 19-96 would be Medicaid eligible if Tennessee would expand access to Medicaid.

Tennessee's answer to helping uninsured adults has been the Uninsured Adult Safety Net fund, however according to the 2023 Uninsured Adult Safety Net Report 22 Rural Tennessee counties do not have access to a provider in this program. At the same time, the lack of Medicaid Expansion is hurting Rural Hospitals, Rural Health Clinics, Federally Qualified Health Centers, and other rural providers who see Medicaid patients.
